Ana Carolina Luzardi

My name is Ana Carolina Luzardi, I am a PhD student at the University at Buffalo. I was born and raised in Brazil, where I studied Oceanography in my undergraduate studies, and after that I went to Chile to study a masters in Glaciology. For my PhD research, I am interested in assessing methods for initializing ice sheet models in the recent past. That would help us understand how the past evolution of ice sheets influences its sensitivity to climate change, and how that could affect estimates of sea level rise in the 21st century. Apart from science, I love working out, climbing, traveling and hiking.
